Niels van der Wal
Niels van der Wal holds a master's degree in fiscal economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. In 2005 he completed his post-doctoral studies in International Tax Law Adv LLM at the International Tax Center in Leiden. He worked for 16 years for Meijburg & Co (1999-2015) and 4 years for Deloitte (2015-2019). From 2012 in the role of Tax Partner. Niels is known for his broad professional knowledge and his sharp analytical skills, with which he always strives for the optimal positions for his clients (income tax, corporation tax, dividend tax and international tax law).
Pascal Schrijver (of counsel)
Pascal Schrijver obtained his master’s degree in tax law from the University of Groningen. In 1997 he started as a VAT specialist at Arthur Andersen, which later was merged into Deloitte. There he became indirect tax partner in 2011. Pascal was affiliated with Deloitte until the end of 2019. In addition to the role of Indirect Tax specialist, Pascal is a guest lecturer at Leiden University and is also a board member of the VAT section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors. Pascal speaks regularly at seminars and is co-author of a book on VAT and e-commerce.
Roy Vliese (of counsel)
Roy Vliese studied tax law at the University of Amsterdam. After his studies he specialized in payroll taxes at the Dutch Tax Authorities and was a department coordinator for payroll taxes. He then worked as a specialist in payroll taxes at KPMG Meijburg & Co and Deloitte. He advises both national and international clients and has extensive experience in assisting clients in contacting the Dutch Tax Authorities. Litigation is also part of his field of expertise. From his position as a board member of the Payroll Taxes section of the Dutch Association of Tax Advisors, he regularly comments on legislative proposals. In addition, he is a member of the Core Group Introduction Tax Law Payroll Tax, Sales Tax, General Law on State Taxes and Recovery Act 1990 of the Nyenrode Business University.
